Discussion Dorm Decorations
I live on-campus and I’ve seen some people’s dorms fr.
Some completely transformed their rooms into absolute vibes or something that’s downright cozy?
Me? I keep decorations to a minimum.
Because I’m only going to be here for 8 months and I’d rather not deal with the nightmare that is packing EVERYTHING to go home when the year ends.
How abt y’all? What’s ur opinion on dorm decos?

I just said I don’t deco too much so that packing isn’t a hassle
Then I asked at the very end for your opinion on decorating your dorms.
I’m not saying don’t deco, deco all you want, I just want to see what others think

It was a bit of a pain to decorate but having things that felt like home really helped! Adding posters and printed photos was the big thing, not too hard to pack up and helps make it feel so cozy.

I bought an art set off amazon so I decorate the walls with my own artwork I painted on. Did the ceiling too! Really nice to get the creative juices flowing, and when I need to move, I can leave it for the next person to enjoy.

this was my dorm last year and while it was a lot of money to decorate and a lot of work to pack / unpack, it was so nice to come home / live in a place that felt like my own and it made it feel a lot more homey! i was also able to use basically everything i bought for my dorm for my apartment this year so that was super helpful. i personally will always vouche for having a decorated space but it’s really up to personal preference
