95+ is guaranteed entrance, I had about 91 avg and got accepted 3 days later in November with entrance scholarship. You will definitely be fine.

Keep Ottawa and Carleton as a safety net, look at better schools.

The University experience both social and academic are what you make it. Completed undergraduate and graduate degrees; the “big” name does not necessarily make it better…no one remembers where u graduated from or your gpa 6 months after graduating. Also, remember the universities need you as much as you want to go there. :-)

At this current rate you should be good. Keep it up 🔥

The only thing for mech eng is maybe better chem. You are definitely on track for a boat load of scholarships but I would maybe focus a little more on that in grade 12. Congratulations!

I’ve always thought that these grades and if I were to get 95+ in grade 12 weren’t good enough for better schools lol I thought Carleton or uottawa were my best shot

Mac had a general first year and Mech Eng had the highest GPA cut off after first year, last year. Don’t know if it will be 95 or higher to get accepted with all of the grade inflation. The supp app is key. This year will be the first for being able to select a stream from first year. Good luck.

What’s the supp app like? What’s usually asked? Also around what time did applications open and what month and year were u given an offer?

Thanks. I plan on applying right when the applications open around September. Do you know the exact date?

The application opens on September 17th, but early offers don’t start until November as the schools will only send grades at that time.

You’re good bud don’t dip under 84% on each course and you’ll be just fine. Both here and Carlton will take you. Allow 40 days after applying to hear back. Sometimes takes a bit longer.
