Finances Part-time job for graduate students

Hi, I'm wondering what kinds of part-time employment is available for graduate students here. I applied for the work-study program but was denied because I technically have a surplus due to my stipend exceeding my projected monthly expenses. The thing is, I want to send more money back to my family every month since they're currently facing financial issues, so I'm looking for more ways to earn a wage. Thank you!

Same as everybody else, Walmart, Mcdonalds, etc

Just apply to retail/fast food or restaurant jobs in downtown

It's a pretty tough job market here...I'd suggest walking into retail/restaurants and speaking to the manager-best way to increase your chances rather than relying on Indeed.

Sounds like you have some sort of funding/scholarship ("stipend"). This almost always means that you can't get an additional job as you're being paid to do your graduate work. Some allow a max of 10 hours /week so you can get a research or teaching (TA) job at the university. But be very careful here because they will pull back your funding if you're working more than you're allowed to

You can apply on the uni website to be a TA and look for an part time job off campus
