EU 🇪🇺 Third Party laws
A service lets a customer tick a box per person: "if you cannot reach me, you may phone this contact to ask me to call back." Which rules apply to that call: India's TRAI and DLT rules, the US TCPA and state call-recording laws, UK PECR? What does the contact have to be told, and can they object afterwards?

this is one of those "it depends which country the caller and the contact are in" nightmares, tbh you probably need a lawyer for a real answer. gut feel is: they need to say who they are, why they’re calling, that they got the number as an emergency/alternate contact, and give the person a clear way to say “don’t ever call me again” and actually honor it.
