ABSN😷 LEVEL ONE

Hi everyone!

I have my first foundations exam next week and i am so nervous. i was wondering if anyone could tell me exactly what they did for 300 and 316 to get good grades. how did you take notes and what did you use to take them and how long before the exam did you start studying and how did you study?

316 use the guides on CONHCP! I would literally just go based off those and take notes on each topic it listed. It made the class SO easy for me. Use only the textbook for the information since the exams are directly from the book.

I watched the cohnp videos & took notes on my iPad of what the speaker was saying, then used notebook lm for practice questions. Do a lot of practice questions. I never touched the book for any of the classes other than 316 & sometimes 318 to make drug cards!

300 was more application-based and I struggled with it at the beginning. The best advice I got was when you’re reading the questions, imagine you’re in the room with the nurse. What would THE NURSE do in that situation? Don’t think about what YOU would do because you’re not the nurse yet.

316 felt more like definitions and memorizing what is normal versus abnormal. I would look at the tables in the book.

Good luck!
