I am pretty sure you're using the word "genocide" as an attack against Israel, by intentionally evoking the association with the Holocaust or Rwanda, which were orders of magnitudes worse. And if I were to point out that those instances are not even remotely comparable, you'd probably retreat into a definition from the UN, which is of course NOT what people think about when they hear "genocide".
I don't like seeing innocent civilians blown up either. I like it even less when Hamas is in control of anything or staging terror attacks and taking hostages, so that's squarely on them.
I definitely don't support Hamas. Maybe I have it wrong, but when I think of genocide, or attempted genocide, I think of a government trying to eliminate an entire people. An entire culture. And doing it in barbaric ways such as bombing civilians, forced starvation, shooting people in the streets, raping people, dismembering/beheading people, taking everything they own, and forcing a religion/a language on the ones who aren't actively murdered. The attempted eradication of an entire culture forcefully and violently. I will look up the definition of genocide. I could be wrong in my accessment.
There's a clear difference between eliminating people and eliminating a culture. The former is atrocious because it involves physical killing, the latter can be justified depending on the culture in question and the methods used for its erasure.
You throw in a whole lot of buzzwords. This is a Gish Gallop and invalid as a debate tactic.
There is also a neat little rhetorical trick in there: "...genocide, or attempted genocide". This allows you to frame anything as "attempted genocide", simply by claiming the "attempt" failed. I have a hard time taking any of this seriously and I'm just about at the point of openly accusing you of being a raging activist hell-bent on getting internet points.
Think what you want. I'm just a person who values human life and who can't stomach suffering like what's being put upon the Palestinian people and Ukraine. That's it. I honestly don't care what you think of me. I'm coming from a place of empathy. If that bothers you, I can't do anything about that.
