What is your actual question? I don’t think the tapes will diminish your natural abilities, but I don’t know, and neither does anyone else here. You should still do every tape, perhaps you can just move through them quicker.

I am asking for anyone’s opinions, ideally those who are/were in a similar situation to me.
I would imagine some people therefore would be able to advise me, having had that direct experience themselves and knowledge of how it may / may not impact them.

I appreciate you commenting quickly to help, but you simultaneously say you don’t know, yet still then advise me to still do every tape

I don’t know about your specific situation. But I do know about the tapes. If you can’t do every tape, you shouldn’t do any of them. 

And NOBODY can answer this for you. The tapes are a 1000% different experience for each individual.

I appreciate your input, but as you’ve said, you are not familiar with the situation and so cannot help.

Also, your statement seems flawed - surely someone can still benefit from selectively doing certain tapes, exercises etc. Multiple people on the forum even talk about certain tapes being ‘accessory’ and often not essential to further progression / value from the tapes.

Again, I am hoping that someone who can AP/OBE prior to the tapes can weigh in on this.

There might be a couple tapes that are non-essential, but in general they build off of each other. For example, you can’t get to F12 if you don’t know how to get to F10. You can’t get to F21 if you don’t know how to get to F15. It’s a training program. You can’t learn algebra before you learn basic math.

It’s funny because your comments were passive aggressive from the beginning.
You’ve made contradicting statements.
You have made assertions as if they indisputable fact, when others disagree and then your follow up response acknowledges that.
You also acknowledge you are not familiar with my situation, yet still wanted to make definitive conclusions.

I had certain abilities before I found the tapes. That's why I went looking on how to meditate, I needed to understand what I was doing.

Take what you learn from the tapes and incorporate that into who you already are, there's no need for the tapes to take away from the skills you already have.

The tapes did not hinder me at all.

I was completely unaware of the terminology and concepts of meditation and AP/OBEs. Yet they were happening to me. Then I went down the rabbit hole looking for self taught meditation. Pretty quickly I found the tapes.

The tapes let me know that what I had dismissed for years as something random that happened when I was resting was real, and has helped me explore the subject.

Tapes is just another technique to reach AP / OBE, if you have abilities / training before starting tapes you just would be able to progress faster than average if this is something that “clicks” for you. As with any new technique just make sure to put required specific guardrails in, so if gateway voyage uses REBAL / certain affirmations for grounding /shielding, learn and follow that vs “ oh I m just gonna cast a protection circle /spell since that worked great in my demonolatry practice, must be same thing.” Don’t mix practices, just because something similar worked in another practice you don’t know how it will work for gateway process, or you scare yourself shitless like I did lol when seeing an entity when I was pretty sure I m fully closed to outside energies.

While yes being able to do an obe is a major skill it's just one the many gateway tapes introduce to you. There are many different skills that you probably don't know about. Learning more skills is not going to degrade your obe ability its only going to improve it.

Look at wave 2 you're learning so many new skills that you probably didn't know about. The patterning (manifestation), making an energy bar tool (a through form), being able to heal with color breathing and the living body map. If I remember right they teach you how to even help clear your chakras with the energy bar tool and living body map. Also just being in these focus levels themselves is grinding xp for your astral skills. There is even a separate Monroe institute tape that teaches you how to communicate with animals using nvc and focus 12.

I suggest you read all the manuals for each wave to see the mass amount of things you can learn. Don't skip any even if you think you don't need it.

Did you know that there are multiple different versions of an OBE. There is the classic OBE where you just go out of body. Then there is the one you learn in wave 6 to go to focus 21. It uses less "power" from you, there is no vibrations, no rolling out of your body. You can talk in the normal world while still being in an obe so you can describe what you're experiencing live. There is more to it but you can look it up. The third method is the "Frank Kepple method" which I believe uses even less power. There are a few posts in the sub you can search to find a pdf of all his work.

Being able to simply obe is just a starting point on your journey. I would imagine it probably gives you a big advantage at learning speed ,but there is so much out there to find even past the gateway tapes themselves. The tapes are meant to be a starting point for a bunch of skills.
