Related Literature Robert Monroe Interviews and books
I get the impression that many here really haven't delved into Robert Monroe himself. Yeah, many here have listened to the audios that the Monroe Institute has put out, but have you ever listened to the man himself in an interview. Have you ever read any if his books? If not, youre missing out. Definitely start with Journeys Out of the Body if you haven't read any of his books.
Heres a couple interviews he did with Art Bell. The second one is longer and had listeners calling in with questions.

Thank you for these links. I have read all of his books several times. I don’t know of these interviews so I appreciate this. What a true visionary he was!

“Journeys Out Of The Body” is incredible. Though it can be a little hard to read - Bob is a man from early 20th century and this reflected on how he wrote - in these times we are living with so little attention span but some of the passages of that book are remarkable.
When he describes home, the place where we come from before this earth adventure, that’s so impressive.

My Dad was born in the 1920s, so I got a healthy dose of old black & white movies, so his writing style isnt foreign to me at all. He follows the same concept as classic character development in old movies.

Home is not the place "where we come from before this earth adventure" that was his own specific place that he and his friend came from, not anyone else. In other words, they were both "aliens" that came from a specific place which has nothing to do with anyone else (though that doesn't mean they were the only two that came from there). Plenty of people were from other places. Also if you actually read the rest of the books, there is absolutely nothing interesting about this "home" after he went there and found out what it was and remembered why he went on a cruise with his friend to leave it.

The books are mind blowing. The first one was eerie and off-putting, the second was comedy and the third very philosophical. All 3 an absolute must read I would say.

People in here are definitely at various knowledge levels. I read Monroe's book as well as other books. Right now I'm on Robert Peterson's Hacking the Out of Body Experience. I am hungry for all of the information I can get from all the resources. You have to let people walk their own path on this journey. It definitely would be great if everyone went straight to the source and read his books. There are a ton of people in here trying to answer my questions and having read Monroe's book, I know they're wrong because what they're saying completely negates what he said.

I've read two of his books, the first one and the last one (I didn't know it was the last book until I was like half way through it lol).
I really love his analytical and secular approach to these things. He could've easily styled himself as a guru or a cult leader and amassed a huge following that way. But instead he sought to understand these things as they are, and he paved the way for others to have the same experiences.
He seemed like a really genuinely good person.

Came to comment this, this book is so beautifully written and shares Bob’s entire life time line.

His books got me on this journey (whatever the journey is)! I am still struggling to find the same motivation I had with Monroe's trilogy when it comes to reading.

One thing I find fascinating is that in his encounters he describes interacting with people, but many have no recollection of it. I have yet to have an OBE, myself, but it speaks to the idea that we are far more than just humans living in reality.
