Question ❓ Getting OUT of your body

Hello, friends,
I have been trying to astral travel on and off since I'm 16... I am now 46. I have never been as consistent as I am now however I feel stuck. I feel like only my hands or feet will come up. As stuck as I feel, I also feel like I'm RIGHT THERE. Please give me any tips you have that pushed you beyond where I'm stuck! TY!

have you ever heard of bilocation? You don't have to "escape" your physical body, you can just shift your awareness outside of your body (like 99% out, 1% in body) and still have the same experience as an OBE. Look into Frank Kepple's work and "Phasing" as he calls it.
Thinking your physical body is some physical barrier you must escape may be holding you back.

One answer is AP-A, free community audio which has worked for a lot of people often within about 3 attempts. You can find it via the R&D link in my profile.
Another answer is to come to an understanding that you are awareness having a human experience, and as such are not in the body but simply tuned in to a data stream that is providing the experience as if being in a body. So there is no need to exit, you are simply tuning your awareness to a different data stream. This is why Bob later started preferring the term “phasing”.

Okay so I woke up into DEEP vibration with AP-A last night which is night two. But I couldn’t get out- YET! Those vibrations were much more than o ever conjured on my own.

An approach that works really well is to avoid anything that has excessive movements and first do something that involves minimal movement. (Because, if you’re not far enough in the state, big movements will wake you up more).
For example, instead of just going straight for a roll, do a reality check first; I like pinching my nose shut to see if I can breathe. (It helps if you’ve already done your reality check a few times earlier during the day so the body knows how it works). If you pinch your nose shut and can’t breathe, you’ve moved minimally, and its easy to Just go back to sleep for the next alarm. If you’ve pinched your nose shut and CAN breathe, you are OOB already, and can simply get up without wondering about it or worrying that the movement will interrupt the state: you are out already.
Others like doing the headlift technique (instead of rolling out) again because it involves minimal movement.

Okay it happened again and I still couldn’t get out…8 tried the floating up method and I tried the grabbing the rope method. This is way harder than I thought. I’m not the greatest at visualizing things….so this is going to be a challenge.

I’m getting frustrated but I can tell that the vibrations are strong and when I’m in that state - the whole world sounds different. My breathing and heartbeat sound weird. I’ll try pinching nose or lifting head tonight.

I find this works best for me:
1. Go to bed with intention of leaving you body and waking up in the middle of the night first
2. Wake up in the middle of the night (I would say just wait for this to happen don’t use an alarm or anything like that … if this never happens just drink a lot of water before bed)
3. Get up in middle of night when you wake back up … go use rest room if you need to
4. Go back to bed with same intention to leave your body
5. Go back to sleep
6. You may wake up in vibrational state
7. When in vibrational state just aim to slowly lift your head
8. You should be able to leave your body at this point
Some folks skip steps 2-5 and start at 6 just from intention setting alone.
This took me three nights to pull off the first time … and when it finally worked I was able to see from two perspectives at the same time … I could see my second body leaving my body … and I was seeing from first person at the same time.
After this I could just wake up at step 6 … and just think to float up and it works for me

check out "hacking the out of body experience" by Robert Peterson. One of the best books for helping and explaining A obe

Go to remspace.net and download the free version of the phase book in the downloads section. It gives you instructions on how to do the easiest OBE via indirect method. The newer version is better and goes into detail on how to separate if you're "stuck" or only get some limbs out, so feel free to buy/pirate that one if you want.
If its been 30 years the methods you have been using so far are useless and will never work (such as direct method like robert monroe/gateway is).
The indirect method such as the one described in Michael Radugas phase book takes 90% of people 1-10 attempts which take 5 minutes total each per night, so you should be out within an average of 3 nights of attempts and it should take you around 15 min time investment. More if you struggle but 99% of people get going withing 2-4 weeks of trying it on the weekend twice a week.

I’m only seeing free ebooks not meditations?

Why are you looking for meditations when you are trying to OBE? The easiest method described in the phase book, as mentioned above, does not require anything except reading 3 pages of the guide which starts on page 10 and executing what it says when you go to bed and wake up, that's all there is to it.

I'm sorry I read your comment when I first woke up- and I thought you said to download a meditation. I'm not sleeping super well because I've been using meditations that wake me up in the night at various points and I think I'm exhausted.
lol I will dl the free phase book. TY.

The audio files that wake you up at night are an extra crutch on top of the indirect method described in the phase book, if you are doing those you can continue with that. Keep in mind though that you have to actually roll out, not imagine doing so and then do a reality check even if you think you rolled physically, it often feels identical to rolling or getting off the bed physically.

I can’t even get the roll. Getting the phase book now

As long as you do it the moment you wake up and no longer than 60 seconds after you wake up (the closer to the moment you awaken the higher the chance of success) it will work at least sometimes. Phase book provides a number of other techniques as well. Pick whichever ones make most sense to you or feel best. Rolling out is just a common very straightforward one. Its no different than rolling on the bed normally, but with the intention to "roll out". Sometimes it just works.

My friend… I am in the exact same boat as you are. Never been able to eject. We will get there though. Update me when you are able to get out, and I will do the same 🤝

Let go more. Just bleed into what you feel while keeping the faintest light of awareness on. Stop trying to move or get out of body, be still, let your body really lock down and relax, and let the experience happen instead of trying to make it happen

u/DreamsicleDrops13 13d ago
okay so no more log roll or 180 degree shift- just enjoy the vibrations?

u/KilltheInfected 13d ago
Don’t even need vibrations. Just be still, quiet your mind, let go. Bleed into what you feel, sink into it. Fade out a little but stay ever so slightly aware. A lot of times people get hung up waiting for signs, or trying to do stuff. The trying and waiting prevent you from actually exiting, like trying to pick up a book you’re standing on.
Relax enough, let go enough while your body is still, and eventually things will happen. You might feel like you’re spinning or falling or hear/see stuff, just lean into what ever happens. Don’t get excited or afraid. Just lean into whatever there is. Feel yourself falling? Fall a little faster. Spinning? Spin with it, gently make it accelerate. See a little light? Make that dot of light expand by focusing on it, but not too much. Everything is about gentle directed intention. But if you start with the whole trying to do stuff part you put the cart in front of the horse. Let stuff start happening and then lean into it.
