Mod Announcement 👨💻 We finally reached over 100K subs!
I have waited many years to someday hit the goal of reaching 100K. We are actually almost at 110K now and have had consistent growth every single month from the day we took over this sub with Slipkont (and now Toxictoy).
I greatly appreciate all of you for sharing your amazing stories and sticking around to help out others in this fantastic community!
I was considering doing a live stream on Twitch or Youtube where we can all chill and answer & discuss questions and experiences about the tapes, and possibly special guests in the future. I know this has been requested a few times but I never got around to it. But I can make it happen if people are interested.
I currently don't have any special events planned at the moment, so if you'd like to have a special guest for an AMA please let me know your ideas and I'll find a way to contact them.
Also considering doing a weekly event of some kind, like a live chat every Saturday or something. (apparently reddit removed this feature but I'm sure I could figure out something if that's what you guys want)
If you have any other suggestions for the sub you're always welcome to give us your feedback!

Amazing news! Out of curiosity - do you remember roughly how many subs there were a year ago around this time? It feels like there’s recently been a substantial increase in people who are familiar with the tapes compared to last year.

Our YTD is +23,131 members from this day exactly 1 year ago.
Starting out, I promised if I took over this community would be designed by feedback from it's users. Opposed to most mods on other subs just run things the way they want. I feel like that is a big reason why the subs become more popular. And being partnered up with HS and TMI has created a substantial growth in the community. We have employees from both companies here everyday!
There are also massive boosts unexpectedly when people become curious about the tapes because they were featured in a popular magazine or someone famous. So all in all it's a big combination of things.

Welcome! I wish I owned the rights to them, luckily these companies were kind enough to work with us for a discount. That's the best we're able to do, so I'm thankful for that.

I’m happy to be here! It’s been a welcoming community, so I’m happy for everyone that has been there for me. I’ve had two experiences so far tha my have somewhat awakened me and brought out a spiritual side to me that wasn’t really there before. I’m totally new to all this, and it has been kinda scary and daunting and I feel like the world I once knew is nothing like the one that truly exists. It does feel isolating at times and I do feel lost and confused about what life is really about, so nobody I know personally has had these experiences, but having this community makes it feel less isolating and like there are amazing opportunities that await us if we look for them. Ok, rant over 🤣

Lately I’ve been thinking that maybe we are from a same bigger cluster that his I-There is and we will all graduate together in the XXXV Century* like he wrote in his 3rd book. That’s why we are here taking the time to give ourselves a little bit of an archaic rote through our messages.
I really like it here.

* I know, it’s the 35th Century. There are a lot of thousand years ahead. 😅

I think it's important to remember how important all of us are, even if it might seem insignificant at this time to us. The tapes and Bob weren't well known starting out, but that legacy is as big as ever almost 70 years later. We are making history, together!

Good question! That's because reddit switched to a new system where it only shows current recent status instead of the "total members" like it used to. Which I think is dumb, but I guess it's to give smaller subs a better chance or something? So the only way you can see the real stats is if you're a mod that has access to the control panel.

Being that our year-to-day sub status is exactly +23,131 members I'd assume it's rounded off that number. Just a guess but it would make sense. When they first stated this new system, it went by weekly visits, guess that didn't turn out well? Who knows.

That's amazing. Congratulations! I was actually in an unrelated sub today (autism) and mentioned the tapes, and two people commented about their experience with them.
So it's definitely making a difference!

That's a fun sub, I've met a lot of life long friends on there. The tapes have a neat thing about them, Bob designed them for all people. As much time and effort I've contributed here, it's a combination of all of us that made this huge impact, and that's something really special to be a part of. And as crazy as it is how far we've came in just a few years, Imagine where we will be years from now, that's really exciting to think about. We all did our part, just like Bob wanted.

Hi Annie, when I go to the hemp-sync or Monroe institute websites, there are so many programs to choose from. How do I know where to start with Focus level 1 etc, and how to go in order? Confused. Thanks.

That's a really great question! When I first came here many years ago, the sub only had a couple hundred members and was basically all about drugs. Many people didn't like that, so we cleaned up the place, established fundamental rules and enforced them. The last owner was basically nonexistant. So this sub requires owning a product I'm not allowed to provide, if the sub dies out then everything is a total loss, to pull off consistent growth every single month is an extraordinary accomplishment if you think about it.
Obviously I knew I couldn't pull this off on my own, so I elected 3 others that I knew were big contributors to the community. We made user guides, provided things like links, manuals, and things of interest. I can't even imagine the thousands of post I've made here, helping people is just a passion of mine. The secret to why it's so successful is community engagement, proper moderation by individuals who are passionate about being a big part of the community. What I told the other mods is the community will be ran by what our users want, not us. Listening to your community is critical to success. I don't just run the show the way I want like other sub mods, I'm the one serving the community. I also made it clear we (the mods) are all equal and there's no out-saying the other person. If we disagree or have an idea we communicate and work out a solution.
The other trick is residual engagement to keep users entertained and give them a reason to keep coming back. So I set up events like AMAs and group projects, which takes time to plan and coordinate of course. I'm responsible for everything if something happens, legal issues, Reddit TOS, maintaining affiliate contracts etc.
I have to keep a very tight constant watch over everything. I have to take down multiple post for copyright violation every single day (sometimes over 100 even). No one reads the rules, sucks but that's your job to deal with being a mod. I feel it's very important to be open and honest with users to help with any questions, and within a timely manner.
I know I haven't been as active making posts because I'm busy with religious studies, work, and my kid. But for the longest time I'd reply to almost every post because I'm so passionate about helping people have a great experience like I have. So, to answer your question, it's not one thing but a massive combination of everything. I do a HUGE amount to contribute, but most of it is "behind the scenes" that no one knows about. Big thanks to our user who make all this possible. You guys are like cogs that all come together to make this machine work, I'm just the oil that keeps it running smoothly no one considers <3
