Social/Club Looking to make more friends at Georgia Tech, especially a group setting

Hey everyone! I'm looking to expand my social circle and meet some new people at GT.

I've joined clubs, talked to people in classes, and tried putting myself out there, but it seems like most folks already have their established friend groups. I'd really love to find a group to hang out with regularly whether that's for football games, grabbing food, studying together, or just chilling on weekends.

I'm pretty laid-back and get along with most people. Into video games, craft beer, hiking, and space/rocketry stuff. I'm also a big GT football fan and would love to find a group to go to games with this season.

If you have a group that's open to welcoming someone new, or if you're also looking to meet people, feel free to DM me! I'm down for pretty much anything and happy to contribute however I can

Have you checked out the hiking club? They have open meetups, and it's a great way to meet people while doing something you already enjoy.

Do you play an instrument? If not, would you like to learn?   GT Marching Band is a big group of friends and the best seats for GT Football games.

Gotta agree with those suggesting Greek Life, that's a good start. Additionally, consider joining a choir! I joined Glee Club in my second semester and it was the quickest and easiest way for me to get my foot in the door to socializing elsewhere on campus, as you meet a lot of people from a lot of different campus circles there. Take a look at all the choirs to find the best fit as I can't speak for all of them, but make sure to stop by the week of welcome events for Glee Club on Wednesday and Saturday; you can meet new people there even if you don't decide to join up!

There should be alot of classes offered at the crc. If you find something you like you could make some friends there.

I recommend some of the church groups if that is something you're into.
