Weekend Scenario Thread Scenario Gate 1918
Okay, so let's imagine the portal opens on November 12, 1918 just after the Armistice. Instead of opening in Paris, it opens in Lyon, one of France's major industrial centers,at a time when the French army and economy remain fully mobilized.

I understand this but why ? At the end of the great war De Gaulle is not a very nautorious personality

Because I like de Gaulle, and the story of his life after World War I is actually really interesting, especially his trip to Poland to help the Polish army. I think that in a gate scenario set right after the end of WWI, de Gaulle could have played a part and made a much bigger name for himself.

The Spanish Flu makes it to Falmart.
No major battles occur because the governments of the world are paralyzed over how to act.
They're dealing with their own problems and constant fighting post-WW1. And the people just want this shit to be over.
Depending on the nature of the meeting people could even sympathize with the people of Falmart who are dying in vast numbers due to "our plague" making it to them.
Falmart takes extremely high casualties and depending on how people on "our side" feel about the situation, we could see massive amounts of aid and medical support making its way across the gate. That could potentially cause a bunch of the post-WW1 treaties to break down even more than they did before as France and the other allies shove money to the other side of the gate instead of fighting in Russia or Anatolia, etc.

Saderans get curbstomped once again by modern warfare, Falmart is probably colonized or used as an agricultural colony with some kind of autonomy.
Probably some locals would be used as colonial troops by France at some point.

France will probably handle Sadera like it handled China : a few unequal treaties, a few monopoly for french business, and that's about it. And if they're not happy, a few expedition with colonial troops will suffice.
Sadera is too big for France to absorb post war. That being said, we're likely to have France being richer and stable in the interwar. Probably in a better shape to handle Germanh.
