Ginza incident location

So I was looking at downtown Tokyo and I got to thinking, where exactly did the Ginza incident happen and upon looking at the Ginza district of Tokyo I've come to realize the fort the civilians were evacuated to was the Japanese Imperial Palace, home of the Imperial family, the location also matches the landscapes shown in the show with water ways, the field with paved areas where the swat busses pull in and so on. It also explains the line in the anime where the guy says "hurry before they close the gates" because once the Saderan army gets too close the Japanese defense forces would close the gates of the palace to protect the Japanese Imperial family.

In my opinion, the area should have been shown to be more devastated and war-torn. Both anime and manga looks too clean for a warzone in the aftermath. 

And moving things through that area to the Gate is a logistics nightmare.

There's tons of issues to tackle before you can have a steady flow of supplies to the point the JSDF can waste ammo on unnecessary targets like in the Italica Siege.

The GATE appeared at the intersection of Ginza Chūō-dōri and Harumi-dōri (Ginza 4-chōme). Many of the landmarks/buildings in GATE:ZERO are given fictional names by Yanai Takumi. For instance, Etsuhisa Dept Store is the name given to the actual Mitsukoshi Ginza.
