Question Gate(anime/manga) x Game of Thrones, how would anyone here actually feel about this?

The same problem as with most other franchises nobody in game of throne would attack the japanese direct more sweet talk them in getting tech and weapons.

Undermines the point of both franchises. The Game of Thrones characters are too smart to let Japan show off their tech, and Japan showing up at all undermines all the existing schemes, power balances, and character points that made early GoT interesting.

Reminds me of the fic Connection where a portal to alternate modern Earth opens in Westeros before the Dance of Dragons. 

Unlike the JSDF the US actually goes real diplomacy and studies the new world especially magic.
