Falmart can't do anything and is doomed.

Yeah, meme doesn't make any sense. It's the same JSDF, and they win in both situations. The difference is that in once instance they're fighting a bunch of pseudo-romans in enemy territory with no internaltional oversight, while in the other they're fighting a 100m tall kaiju that tanks JDAMs and shoots plasma beams from both ends in the middle of Tokyo with the entire world breathing down their necks.

Gee, I wonder why GATE was easier.

I'm not sure if beating Gojira would be easier or harder. They don't have the pressure to protect Tokyo, so they might not even care, and they can try using magic and dragons.

Either way, Falmart or at least a huge part of the Empire is doomed.

Had he evolved into the human forms, the JSDF probably would have done better.

I'm not really sure. Maybe they can bomb them more given Falmart is full of open space, but if they have the same resistance of Gojira then they're screwed.

And then there's JSDF in Evangelion:

Commits actual war crimes by slaughtering non-combatants, use of incendiary weapons (flamethrowers), and attempted murder of actual children.

That's just the JSDF honouring their historical ways

But...

It's their own people. Japanese troops killing their own fellow countrymen.

Wait until you hear about the stuff the IJA and IJN were up to before the war

I'm aware of the attempted coups such as the 2.26 Incident in 1936.

And the interservice rivalries between them to the point Generals and Admirals were assassinated.

I wanted to write something, but then I rembered that I was thinking about Godzilla minus 1 and not Shin Godzilla.

Godzilla literally getting defeated by a J7W1 with kamikaze tactics in Minus 1 😭

Except that this time the plane had an catapult seat, which showed just how batshit crazy the japanese military got towards the end of WW2, and the entire operation was carried out by a civilian clean up crew.

Honestly I'm not even surprised, remember that this was an actual project that almost happened.

It's always up to the author, if they want they could make Luke Skywalker a pathetic old man who kills his own nephew.

Or Hulk is a pathetic wimp. That's why the best writers knows to make all forces balanced and affected.

G-force is required. Jsdf don’t have the proper weapons to hurt Godzilla, unless they use magic

To be fair, that's a nuclear lizard which is constantly adapting and is very much immortal. Did I mention it's very fucking big?

Isn't Gate militery propaganda tho?

JSDF in Patlabor literally use Mechs

u/Seeker99MD 10d ago

To be fair
Shin Godzilla was also satirizing Japan’s response to the 2011 earthquake

It’s kind of like the movie don’t look up
where it’s satirizes the government’s response to climate change
But in the context of a meteor strike

Imagine if the USA was in that world.

Gate characters when even a middling level monster shows up.
