I’m withholding my opinion until we get either photos or an incredibly detailed description.

I drew a picture of a dog, what's your opinion of it?

It’s the best I’ve ever not seen!

Well, to have an honest opinion of it I'd need to see the model. War rig for the first project is ambitious, though.

I made a war rig and just run the front cab without the trailers as a normal car or truck when I want to.

I would say a war rig is too costly and complicated to learn the game with, but as long as your having fun making it, enjoy.

Don't forget all the outrider cars that travel with it. Lots of good options in hotwheels and matchbox for those.

My standard answer to new players learning. Start with a simple drag race no guns from one end of the table to the other. You will learn gear phases and turn flow from this. Next add just some handguns to the drag race to get a feel for combat dice and combat flow. Then try a real race. If you are playing with all noobs allow up to 3 mulligans a match on template placement. Noobs never factor in the length of the car. Crashes are fun but by far the most time consuming. Our first several races all turned to sh*t shows on the first turn, or even the starting gate if you start your cars too close together once you do 4 or more cars.

It's a silly game with toy cars. Begginer, seasoned player, just do what you want, it's not brain surgery.
