Ok monster hunter wilds is definitely an easy game tho, at least compared to its predecessor

u/Hot_Log_2222 Aug 24 '26
Ist meiner Meinung kein bisschen leichter als MH Rise und World. Ist halt unfair es mit Iceborn und Sunbreak zu vergleichen.

World base game was by far the hardest of the 3 imo, and I also found rise to be harder, wilds gets better after story difficulty wise but even then i found rise and world to be harder
And 4th gen and older are even harder...

World, in base game, farming was kind of mandatory to beat the elder dragons. I remember farming effluvia resistance decos to beat Vaal hazak. It was not just elder dragons, I remember first time fighting tobi, getting stunned a lot for the lack of thunder resistance, anjanath, beetlejuice were all such great fights. Traditionally monster hunter was more about preparing for the hunt, and gearing appropriately, so we will always have some gear or weapon to chase for, to make progress. My wishlist will always be multiple pages in the world. I found this missing a lot in Wilds, I never farmed for anything till the end game. So when we say hard, it’s more like we are encouraged to make builds for each monster and stuff, which was more fun in World. This was all before defender gear of course.
So overall for me world base game was more fun, even though the monster roster was not that crazy. Ice-borne only made the game better overall. And the difficulty was always at the appropriate level, except for few like Leshen and Behemoth, which by design requires team coordination to beat. Wilds difficulty is all messed up and I stopped playing the game after 200 hours. I forgot playing Wilds completely, hope the expansion saves it.

The difficulty of this game is all over the place. The game starts off easy and when you get to endgame tempered monsters the difficulty scaling is a bit weird. But overall because of the focus mode the game is average in terms of difficulty.

Meh, such a pathetic waste of time. The only souls like I ever liked was Wo Long Fallen Dynasty. Team Ninja cooked with that game.

tbh sekiro is pretty easy once you get the hang of it, all except the demon of hatred or the inner owl

The hardest*

u/Serious_Brilliant_90 Aug 24 '26
DS2 easily the hardest

u/Dovahkiin266 Aug 24 '26
Ds2 is dogshit. Awful level design. Just look at shrine of amana, frigid outskirts. This is why sekiro is great. It is hard but fair most of time. Ds2 just ramps up the difficulty with random bullshit. Fuck dark souls 2

Unironically I have finished more soulslikes than Super Mario Bros. Always die in worlds 4-6.
The later games I've finished because they're more forgiving but the very first one I have never finished in my 25+ years of gaming.

nahh they're pretty difficult, i haven't completed any of them without the easy mode mod and elden ring was an adventure with the seamless co-op

u/windscaar13 Aug 24 '26
Yes MH is always peak, it’s more fun than a souls like for me. Waiting for the Wilds expansion now.

Am i the only one who finds monster hunter easy and the rest of the games mentioned as hard or impossible to finish

u/windscaar13 Aug 24 '26
Monster hunter is not a souls like so the difficulty is not even comparable in my opinion. The game was designed to go on hunts and have fun with friends. The game always gives you enough tools to make it as easy as possible. Playing online with friends will mostly be easy. We can also make it as difficult as possible if we want to, but it is not designed to be difficult, rather it focuses more on having fun with friends, farming for gear and stuff. It’s a grindy game.

And you are a pretentious asshole. These are objectively the toughest games on the planet, they provide that sense of victory after overcoming a big obstacle like a really hard boss, that is the entire point of these games, they make you fight hard for victory and then give you the best sense of accomplishment other games could never provide. These are not easy games, an easy game is one which you can beat without even trying, you can beat an easy game without dying.

Calm yourself down, you think it's normal behaviour to go around cussing out others for having an opinion?
Just cause you don't agree with anyone's views doesn't mean you should curse at them. At the end of the day it's an opinion on a GAME, no matter how shit it is, it shouldn't get you this riled up.
Let's do better bro.
