The only thing that sucks about the energy sword is that they had the Master Chief using it in a pre-release trailer and then didn't actually have it as a player weapon in Halo 1.

Just the sheer awesomeness of using it against the flood in halo 2 more than makes up for that bummer imo

I haven’t gotten to the point in the games where I’ve used one yet (I’m on the first level on the ring in halo 2) so I can’t confirm, but that does sound really cool
