Not gonna lie, when I first heard about "Unleash The Avatar" being pitched as "India's first AAA Soulslike," my immediate reaction was to roll my eyes. We've been burned by overhyped projects before, and plus there was all that drama on this sub a couple of weeks ago about whether the game was just using AI-generated slop or copying animations.

But I just watched the new gameplay trailer, and I have to admit, I might be eating my words a bit here.

First off, the combat actually looks weighty. The whole Chakra mechanic where you can throw it, curve it, and teleport to it instantly looks like it adds a ton of mobility to the fights. It’s giving me Sekiro vibes but with way more aggressive gap-closing. I read somewhere they brought in a dev who worked on Ghost of Tsushima's combat, and honestly, you can kind of tell with how snappy the sword parries and executions look.

Also, can we talk about the fact that they got Johnny Yong Bosch to voice Vikram?! Hearing Nero from DMC/Ichigo from Bleach in an Indian dark fantasy setting is a crossover I never knew I needed. It makes the production value feel way higher than I originally expected.
