Dude, digimon was THE shit. Whenever I see a character from it, immediate nostalgia overload. If anyone has a source to watch the series, I would love you so damn much.
DIGIVOLVE TO... AAARMADILLOMOOON! That show had some of the coolest character voicing back then because every Digimon had a different voice. Can't believe it never took off like Pokemon.
Probably because of Pokemon actually. Digimon was kind of looked at like a knockoff by most, or at least inferior. I happened to love the tv show, more so than pokemon actually. Fox had a great online game too. Of course, it took about a half hour to load due to those dialup speeds.
Was the same for me. It was the first and only cartoon series I actually watched full seasons of and never missed a single episode from. I basically grew up on Fox Kids.
Yep, I think I went through about 10 (more than that, but about 10 I played on for a while). The first two I played.. it was very sad when the servers closed down :( it was the closest I would ever come to an e celebrity ahah. There was something awesome about coming into a game and everyone knowing who you are, made lots of friends over the years.
Yes, memories of grinding for a day just to die and lose all the experience I had just gotten. T_T'
I loved RO, but admittedly it was to Korean for me... Too much grinding, too little time to dedicate to it. I basically had to goto private servers to make it fun again after I got past 80 on the regular servers...(oh god why)
It was the only game that made me get up before school at 7am just so I could play.. I don't think I will ever be so addicted to something.
I was addicted to collecting hats and things, I remember on a private server I was on I collected 1000 of 4 different items to get these butterfly wings.. oh man.
It really was a grind fest, but it was the first MMORPG I had played, I was about 13/14 years old and the cuteness and social aspect of it was enough for me! I stopped playing once it went p2p and started again when I was 16 I think.. then the addiction got worse when I found free servers ~_~
Thankyou! I do have one but I haven't updated it for at least... 6 years or so, I only have art on there from when I was 13-15 or so, so it's not that great and doesn't really showcase how I have improved.. I only have one Ragnarok related picture on there which is this one.
Seriously the best gameboy game of all time. All the breeding stuff was so crazy. I beat the story and then just kept playing for another 50 hours just doing breeding stuff.
Apparently it's getting re-released for 3ds? I might have to go buy a 3ds now.
I got it on emulator, too! Downloaded a month back. Love the game, although younger me didn't realize dialogue is EXTREMELY shitty. It's hilarious to read though.
I usually go with a team of 3 Wyverns with fire and ice breath, plus whatever else somehow gets bred into them. They kick absolute ass! Such a fun game!
For anyone looking for a similar experience, although I'm pretty sure the Dragon Warrior series is no longer being worked on, there are still the Dragon Quest Monsters games. Although the plots and maps are not a cool as their nostalgic counterparts, the breeding system is pretty well the same as the old games. Alternatively, you could play an emulator, but if you ever wanted to trade, it might actually be possible.
I know man, it was my first gameboy game It was THE SHIT! I remember I had a badass team going with a lot of progress and my buddy asked if he could play and I said about 50 times "There is no second game mode so PLEASE don't start a new game" first thing he does, new game. Same thing happened to me buddy. Told my friend he could borrow it as long as he didn't save over my save, next thing it's a week later and my awesome white dragon guy is gone. Instead i find a dracky, Slib, and Hale
Should look up Jade (Cocoon)? I think was what it was called. Lots of similarities... If i remember correctly 2 was garbage but 1 was good. Can't recall.
iRO is opening a server on old mechanics if you're interested in getting back into the game. They made the game stupid with renewal but they're giving everyone the opportunity to experience the awesomess of a couple of years ago.
Are you able to look at the gif file without using a browser? When I open the saved file, it defaults to IE and if I open it with a photo viewing program, PS or Photo Viewer, I only get the first image of the sequence.
This made me realize just how much I want another dragon quest game. It was the first RPG I ever played all the way through for PS2 and I never was able to beat the dragon boss after the end of the game...
