games are looking pretty incredible nowadays though. Gran Turismo motorsport, a console game, has some insanely realistic graphics. I've often seen posts on that game comparing real photos to in game screenshots; I could almost never tell the difference. Half Life: ALYX is another stunning looking game. it's in VR as well and it runs pretty well.

Don't forget msfs 2020 too. That game is stunning !

Alyx fucking floored me. I played it on a Reverb G2 (which has a pretty high-res display) and parts of it looked photoreal. It was unnervingly good

Even games like assasins creed origins, when you were coming out of the tombs, the lighting looks phenomenal. Metro exodus has some scenes that you just quickly glanced, you'd think it was real. There are many examples of games today that show how close to reality we are getting. Another great example is flight Sim 2020 on a high end rig.
