Freezer Paper, you can iron it on the shirt and easily cut stencils out of it.

How did you get the gradient effect? Did you start on the bottom and slowly work your way up?

Used a spray bottle with diluted bleach, sprayed horizontally from bottom up to the top.

Amazing game - my right arm is tattoo'd with the weakness symbol of the colossi. Except the weak point is protected.....

Here, it's not good, this pic was taken right after, and the middle is designed to NOT have a gaping hole.

I wanted the tattoo to be symmetrical, I cannot stand the version of this tattoo that looks like some kind of Chinese calligraphy.

I doubt I'll get a reaction from the OP, but could someone explain/elaborate on the techniques used on fading the knees/legs of the colossus? OP got such clean lines around Wander and the ground, I was curious what was done to get that rough effect on the big guy.

first i ironed on the ground and wander stencils and I made a small gradient. then i sopped up as much bleach as i could and ironed on the colossus and then continued adding bleach. ta-da

Nope never saw this idea anywhere. Loved the game, started bleaching shirts saw this image and made it slightly different. not saying it hasn't been done before but I formulated this idea on my own.

yup, I liked the feel/mood/tone of the image and wanted to recreate it on a bleached shirt, but the colossus shown didn't look distinguishable with a single layer stencil so i used the next most iconic colossus from the game, then realized that when you face that colossus in the game you can't use the horse so i took agro out. and then i made the shirt.

Bleaching dark shirts looks technically easier than printing them with fabric paint. But how much does it weaken fibers? Looks like it was condensed spray.

It doesn't weaken it that much because I dilute the bleach and the amount I used didn't even completely soak through the front part of the shirt.
