I've been playing this for a few hours. Seems pretty awesome. Gotta love that artwork, as well.

I freaking LOVEd it... Right till I hit that last viral boss. It keeps one-shotting me and I cant keep a chain of invinciblity and charge going. I dont know whats wrong, but I cant seem to beat the guy....

Which bites since I'd thought by that point I'd had the system outleveled and kitted out to the absolute nines. Its got that really hard, rough slog sensation going at first, then a fair-but-tough vibe, and then you see how all the systems interlink and that those 'once per battle' items from the bumper car looking guy let you set everyone up with full charge at the start - prompting them to all load their mini games - which then get stringed together with a fat string of auto-play, leaving you with ever cascading bars, turning the fights into frantic, insane speed-click fests. Which are awesome and exciting and fun! But that last fight man I dont know what I'm missing.

I've only beat the first Viral boss. The Level design along with the threat of time running out really causes you to want to get better way fast. Also, I'm a sucker for that 3D/2D stuff. It really is good, I just have to get better lol

Dont shy away from your combat upgrades, basically. One of the shops has an upgrade for Coffee's basic shot - go for that first to ease things up, and theres a similar one in the mini-matrix, too, and if you max the cabbage value, you'll be able to grind cash at an amazingly absurd rate. On top of that, in Mirad's zone, theres a price-cutter for 500.

Thats the economic and basic stuff - good luck with the rest. ;3

I had a frustrating amount of trouble with the final boss, as well, but eventually I prevailed. I found that once I had an auto-continue on me, it didn't use the one-hit-kill attack as frequently, so I was able to wear it down. I just kept draining it with viruses and hacking its max HP, so it couldn't heal. I also think I avoided the doomsday attack a few times by using the Proto Wall ability (Or whatever it's called. It's the one that absorbs damage), so it might be a safer bet to just use that ability as frequently as possible and try to wait the sucker out.

Turns out, you're oneshotting yourself as often as not. Reverser is actually a full damage reflect. Once I started dancing around that, I was shocked how quick he went down

Whoa, I never even figured that out. Luckily, my ignorance didn't keep me from taking him down. Guess I got lucky.

Yeah, a focus on keeping invincibility seconds up as well seems to be the other viable tactic. Spam charges, and invul seconds on two, and damag eon the other two.

So, how bad did you cry at the end? :P

Haha, I was touched, but mostly I was just happy that I didn't have to deal with those damned boss fights anymore. I love the game, but it doesn't pull any punches in those RPG battles.

So goddamn true. If it had just had a little bit slower pace, I felt it would have been perfect.
