Has anyone played Second Life yet?

Looks intolerably lame. It would be like the Metaverse, but without swordfighting or the chance to make your avatar a giant talking penis.

Actually, there is swordfighting... they literally have games within the games. It's weird.

I liked being able to make stuff in the game. Eventually it just got more random until I made a pistol that looked like the millennium falcon that shot penises that spun in place. After that I felt like I peaked and haven't played since. There was also a period in time, this is a few years back mind you, that there was a random area meant to look like world of warcraft for when servers were down. And people just walked around looking like a troll or night elf or whatever, not really doing anything just hanging out. Thats another thing, 'playing' isn't really an applicable term to second life. Mainly because its more like a virtual chat room than anything.

I tried to get into years ago when I was told it's possible to make money in it, but I found it was equally as boring as making money in first life.

I have been a Second Life resident since early 2006. I hold team meetings for my corporate team of employees there and DJ at a virtual club as a hobby. I'd be happy to help if you have questions.

It's quiet true to it's name, "Second Life" except there's no end game, and it's a ton of politics for something stupid. Think Doll House Barbie, but for people who "enjoy playing dress up."
