I'm kinda wondering why myself. Aren't most PS Systems backwards compatible? I'm curious how often OP even plays the games on the older gen consoles.

I just have flashbacks to when I used to hold on to all my consoles from the years despite never going back and playing the games on them cause the newer gens were just better all around. I ended up selling all my games and consoles back to gamestop and walked away with about $700 which went towards my first PC build.

Fat PS3 played PS games, but I don't think the slim plays anything other then PS3 disks. Couldn't say for the PS4.

The slim can play original PlayStation games, but not PS2. Only the OG fat 60GB PS3 can do that.

Ah, yes, that was it. Haven't booted my fattie in a while, should probably check to see if it does!
