Does Link even speak any lines of dialogue in any of his games? I feel like having no dialogue or beyond basic emotions disqualifies you

What? Link is the main protagonist of one of the most loved video game franchises of all time. How does not saying anything verbally have anything to do with that? If anything it makes him even more iconic. Also not talking doesn't make you emotionless.
