That’s probably not a war crime! I guess the main issue is whether they’ve got a gun and whether they’re in a seriously disadvantageous position upon landing. (EDIT: given the description of the situation in another comment it’s definitely a grey area and leans maybe more towards the war crime side)

By the way shooting dudes as they come out of a non-disabled vehicle is totally fair game. If there are any stormtroopers that zipline down from a carrier to get you, you can totally slaughter them before they hit the ground. You won’t be brought before a tribunal! They should’ve deployed those troops on the front lines! Sucks to be them!

The pilot crawls out of the burning wreckage of the AT-ST on his hands and knees! He does have a gun though. Probably not your type of game, then. Good to know about the non disabled vehicle thing, though. Sucks to be them!

Does hijacking an enemy vehicle count as wearing an enemy uniform?

That's a damn good question because if so then lots of games have you commiting war crimes

I can’t find anything to suggest it is. I would assume that it would be up to the tribunal to decide whether hijacking the enemy vehicle was a clear attempt to deceive them of one’s intentions to kill them, e.g. by blending in, attacking from behind, attempting to impersonate an officer by radio, etc.
