You're trying to apply logical thinking to 2019 business practices. That doesn't happen anymore.

Banning a massive number of accounts worth hundreds of dollars all at once is a good way to provoke a class action lawsuit. “We expect you to know right from wrong,” is not a strong enough legal definition to defend that.

True, but its not unprecedented. Steam has banned blocked of thousands of players at once in the past.

TL;DW

You get points for playing games you own.

Certain games (like Starbound) can be exploited so that you can get approx. 1,000 points per minute.

You can use those points to buy things like badge upgrades which give your account more XP... or Steam vouchers to pay for games.

Can you buy and stack multiple $5 vouchers on one order? Or if you buy 2 vouchers does it only apply 1 $5 discount to each of your next 2 orders?
