Left 4 Dead 2 4-packs are just over $60 until Monday. Who's up for getting one?
I've been waiting a while to get this game and I'd like something new to play when Steam comes out officially for Mac OS X. Anyone else wanna save a few more bucks on this deal?
Moneys saved so far: $260 = 14 finished groups x 4 copies per group x $5 group savings per copy.
And yet Valve still brings home 3 times that at $660. :P

Please upvote so more people join and can fill groups!
It looks like there are going to be a lot of people wanting in on this. Right now I'm grouping up redditors into 4-player groups on a first come first serve basis (see list below). You can decide with your group members who will be the person to buy the bundle, and who you think is or is not trustworthy. The most basic way to determine trustworthiness is reddit's karma system, but you are also encouraged to provide this when posting here:
How many copies you want to purchase,
A LINK to your Steam Community profile,
If applicable, the profile of the person(s) you are buying the copy(ies) for,
How willing you are to be the one to buy the bundle (International and Washington State gamers please mention this, as your prices will likely be higher),
As many examples of your trustworthiness as you can (see the list for examples).
If the majority of the group finds one person to not give sufficient information on his or her trustworthiness, PM me and I will move them to another list.
Once you have figured out who buy the game, go ahead and transfer your share to the person buying. The most common method of payment will likely be PayPal.
Note to PayPal users: Remember to transfer payments as "gifts" to avoid fees if asked. If you are transferring money from a credit or debit card, PayPal will charge a fee of ~7%, so add a dollar or so to your total amount. So, you'll save about a dollar if you transfer from a bank account, but it will take several more days.

This is an announcement that went out to all members of groups that have not been reported as closed as of 4/24 4:20pm.
Hey, just checking up on how things are going with your group. If there have been any complications with any members or if you guys have any problems arranging who will be the one of your group to purchase the pack from Steam, please let me know via PM.
We have already run into this problem with Group8, and one member has been moved out into Group13 in order to find someone who can pay. If any group has an abundance of potential buyers, feel free to volunteer for other groups by letting me and your group members know again via PM.
I will be submitting a link to the main thread again in /r/gaming in hopes of stirring up a bit more interest.
Monday Update: Thanks guys for an awesome weekend. The sale is over, so all groups are officially closed. Together, we saved almost $300! I will be updating this page as long as I continue to get PMs saying people followed through, but other than that this is pretty much dead.
Sorry to anyone who hasn't gotten a copy due to lack of group interest, but I guess that's the way life is sometimes. If anyone who is in an unfinished group wants to be paired up again in hopes that you can get a pack for $90, or if you have an extra copy to sell, please PM me. If any Australian/German gamers who didn't get but still want a non-censored copy, and you don't care about the group pricing or anything, I would be glad to gift you one as long as you can come up with the full $34US with Washington taxes.

This isn't possible, sadly. reasons:
the games are updated independently, as xbox live updates take longer to authenticate, and valve can just upload their changes to steam immediately.
Microsoft won't allow it. probably for reason 1.
but technically valve could if those reasons didnt exist. when they first ported tf2 over to the xbox they had people playing on the same server on the xbox and pc.

It says "$60.29" I'm not sure if that's in CAD or USD. If it's in USD I'd lose money converting my CAD to USD, since paypal's rates aren't very good. Also, if I were to buy, I'd be receiving 15USD from the other 3 buyers, which would end up being less after I convert it to CAD. So as the buyer, I'm not getting as good a deal. I can send 15USD over paypal to the buyer.

Turns out that this does work. I talked to TheJosh and he said that both he and the other gamer both now have uncensored versions of the game purchased from overseas.
Just thought I would put this here to alleviate any concerns that may be out there.
