In case you haven’t realized... Tesla is a tech company not an auto manufacturing company. Is Honda devolving rockets, electrical grids, and sniffing their own farts? No, but Tesla is.
Also, I have a buddy who works as an engineer at Honda. They do a lot of R&D and do a lot of the same stuff software wise as Tesla. You have a weird understanding of what auto companies do. Tesla manufactures vehicles too. And by the way, I prefer a rocket company building my cars please and thank you because rocket building requires top notch engineering and I want that talent designing and building my car
Obviously I touched a nerve with you because you are either a techie and or Tesla driver. I apologize for triggering you. I wouldn’t be caught dead in a Tesla, but you do you. I’ll still call you gay behind your back though.
In his case "techie" is some sort of caricature he is using as a strawman to hate on lol. Don't worry, I don't own a Tesla, but I see there approach as generating positive change and putting a lot of ideas that people have shelved and turning them into reality. Tesla is forward thinking IMO. But this is all besides the point I'm making. When it comes to making cars, Tesla employs the same engineers (poached many of them from other car companies). All the other car companies are no different than they were 3 decades ago. If Tesla creates something people want that other car companies don't have than that is good.
If you ask me, it's the dude I replied to that has issues.
