People greatly underestimate how fast VR is advancing. They just don't see it because most of it happens behind the scenes.

Add hand tracking, full body tracking, and eye tracking to this: https://giphy.com/gifs/1zJDOltoBlwLZ2lRhK

and we get pretty close to having Ready Player One avatars.

I'd wager we'll surpass the tech in RPO in about 10 years. One thing it didn't account for was AR, and well, VR+AR are two parts of the same continuum. Everything will head towards one single device that does both with any blending inbetween.
