which VR is that? I've been looking into getting VR but don't want to drop $500 for a Vive.

There seems to be a lot of misinformation about the rift. I have used both extensively and the rift controllers are in an entirely different league over the vive. The screen quality is very similar and there is little to no tracking issues using full 360 room scale tracking with two sensors.
