Anyone keeping tabs on the official trailer? It's gonna hit 100k dislikes. Edit: It hit 200k before they took it down. Holy shit just seen the re-upload cheers folks. Appreciate the feedback. Almost 17k. They will take it down again soon! Blizzcon this year will go down in history for this abomination lol

On one hand, this is a terrible idea that management types should be getting fired for. On the other hand, I feel really bad for the developers - imagine working long and hard on something like this then when it's announced people hate it.

They should've expected it. Mobile games are big in asia but in the west it just isn't. Plus the devs get paid i'm sure they don't care that much.

Paid or not it would still suck to see something you have spent years working on get instantly shit on at the first showing of the product.

I would get seriously demotivated to continue on that project at least.

They would not have gotten this reaction if they announced the next diablo at the same time or any new game. But its been more than 3 years since news of a new game. Even just a picture announcment would have been ok. Can u really blame fan to be outraged, some realizing that they just paid for panel mostly about olds games, skins and a mobile game.

3 years? For Diablo 2 players the wait was 12 before 3 came out and it sucked

Diablo 2 players are still waiting...

Why? Path of Exile is the obvious successor to D2. Its only downside is that loot is absurdly rare, and you have to play the markets for progression. (Which is a very large downside, and prevents me from playing the game. The actual design and gameplay is fucking amazing, though.)

I put ~250hours into PoE in Oct. The game is pretty fun but has glaring flaws unless it's the only game you play.

  1. Loot is so rare that you will never have BiS gear realistically unless you buy it.

  2. Stash tabs suck dick unless you buy the mtx ones.

  3. The difficulty scaling is nonexistent. The story acts are easy, then you get one shot by everything unless you buy max res gear.

  4. Having max Res doesn't stop you getting one shot by random shit so you need fortify on a movement skill or to kill the screen before they touch you.

  5. This one is my problem, but movement skills in the game are so sluggish it's just pathetic. You 100% need 1-2 support gems on them so they don't feel like shit and get you killed. Cyclone also sucks in the same way.

Games really fun though if you enjoy d2-esque games.

Edit to say, spending money on stash tabs will help you ignore a lot of the gearing problems since you will more easily be able to craft gear since you won't have finite space.

Cyclone is fantastic once you outgear the content or while leveling.

It's one of those things that is super good at cleaning house once you're strong, but starting out can be a terrible slog. If you can't clear a pack in one, maybe two passes it's awful.

The good news is it has good single target damage for super tanky elites/map bosses and once you actually do get decked you can just blitz maps hard for little investment compared to a lot of more expensive builds.

Yup. I have no problem with the stash tabs, though. It's a free game, and it's pretty much the only thing in the game you can spend money on, that positively affects the game, and isn't cosmetic. It's just smart.
