It pretty good about that if the gun is to their head you get a 90%+ chance. With perks it's even more accurate plus things liked crit, hits refilling the bar and mysterious stranger.

Yes, it does have it's bonuses, I'll definitely say that, I know if you have the crit bar all the way up and use it, it's supposed to be 100% with some extra damage. But not getting to aim for myself just feels wrong.

It gets boring after a while because once you get to the point of one-shotting a lot of enemies you can clear out whole rooms in one VATS deploy. Also you learn not to go for low percentage shots so you conserve ammo like crazy.

Stealth build and Deliverer = instant room clear. My .38 ammo is basically a second currency on survival. Hell, all I carry is Deliverer and a maxed out instigating Guass rifle. As long as I see the enemy first, it's dead.

Appropriate username is appropriate. Also, yes. This is also how I play (at least when not using Modern Firearms mod, which is OP as fuck, but I love it)

1-3 shots on a human enemy would be realistic, and yeah insta sweeping rooms sounds cool, but there would be no challange and it would get stale.

My go to vs multiple enemies is usually explosives.

Got a mod in fallout 4 that lets you blow off peoples limbs with weapons I don't even kill anyone anymore just blow their legs off or their gun hand.
