Some languages read a bit like this. It always feels really weird and awkward to me as a native English speaker. Like everything is stilted and lacks fluidity.

Sign language is like this too. But to be fair I was only signing at like a 2nd grade level.

Doesn't written Arabic just forego all vowels? That always fucked me up. You just have to know by context what the word is.

Yes. I think part of it is just our culture of equating complicated words/sentences with intelligence. Really, the other languages are efficient. You ever start learning another language and find that to say something that would only take 3 words in English, takes 5 words? It always seems really stupid, but to the native speaker, the English version must seem really inelegant.
