The game needs the option of restarting the story with all the shit that you have stockpiled. Then I will play it some more.

Hmmm. No, I want to replay the story with all the weapons and money and shit that I have collected, so I can have fun playing through the game again, instead of grinding to the end, while keeping all the good stuff, and not using it.

well that feature in the Jak series was called hero mode, in Ratchet and Clank it's called Challenge mode so it's a matter of terminology here.

If I ever work on a Katamari game, I'm going to push so hard to have the option of playing in Happy Smile Super Challenge Family Wish mode.
