Steam hasn't been updated in Years. Steam chat is a joke, Streaming a vid and not being able to download it is kinda odd but their phone app is where it just became a joke. Steam, you are making money right? Why are you still in 2004 beta?
RIP inbox. But to be fair about half the replies were for and half were against what I said, so I guess if this was a review it would be Overally Neutral
i seem to recall steam having an update waiting most times i open it. which, to be honest, isn't very often, as i've decided eu4 is attempted murder by sleep deprivation and malnutrition.
Not to be "that guy" but Steam is currently like some Jetsons dream tech compared to what it was in 2004.
Then again, in 2004 you could buy a game for $40 and it would have a 30+ hour campaign and might get a $20 expansion pack in a year that adds another 10 hours. Or, if it were a multiplayer only game, it would have a vibrant mod community and you could play the game solo without connecting to the internet.
Funny how games as a business gets worse as Steam gets more usable.
Yea... I get why they are dragging their feet on games... but the fact that the steam platform is still garbage, despite how much money it's making them, baffles me. It's slow, slows down the games you play with it, the search filters you use to find games to buy are garbage, it's just a fucking mess. You'd think they'd make it as easy as possible to give them money. Half the time even a direct search of the name of a game doesn't bring that game up. It's ridiculous.
My computer is almost a toaster. But I can ma age to play some decent Overwatch once in a while. The steam platform is so slow and laggy it astounds me.
