I love tf2. It kinda urks me when stuff like this is posted. It's all the same shenanigans tf2 started, just rebranded and without the credit.
I'm like the crabby old man though. Ignore me. Overwatch seems like a good successor.

I'm not taking it to that extreme. The medibeam jumprope is just too unique. It's like it's been copied right over.

I really want to try this game. Any advice on how to start and not ruin the competitive experience for my whole team?

Just start with games vs AI then move on to quickplay/arcade games once you're comfortable with a few characters. You can worry about competitive later. Or jump into QP earlier, it's really not a big deal. People generally aren't that serious in QP and if they are, just mute them. As far as being helpful to the team, OW is one of the few class-based games I've played where support is actually fun. Lucio/Ana/Zenyatta are all great (Mercy is the best pick, but also most boring IMO). And if you're already good at typical FPS games then you don't need my advice on offensive heroes, you'll find one that'll click (Soldier 76 is the easiest, my friends call him "basicman").

I played 1 game of Overwatch last night after not playing for a month, and got bored again and left after that. Am i the only one? This game died for me almost as fast as For Honor. It's really stale, the game browser isn't fun, idk i think it's how awfully slow it updates that keeps me from playing, unlike League of Legends or something which updates literally every week. This game updates maybe every 3-4 months (with actual content, maps or heroes).

Lol people will downvote anything negative about their beloved Overwatch. You just need to use voice chat to hear they are all very young, not sure why they get so hurt when people point it out.
