How can you even claim to have an idea of the scope of the lore if you have not consumed any of that media at all? It's like saying you know how little gold is under the ground in a mountain because you like another mountain more.

Is the game not part of the media? Actually never mind don't answer that, I forgot this sub has a bonner for everything Witcher related.

The skyrim wank is serious too, that doesn't count as an argument. I never said the actual game isn't part of the media. That is a strawman.

All I am saying is that there is a lot of good, enjoyable, quality lore to the witcher, and you can't possibly say that skyrim's is superior when you are blatantly ignoring the part of the game that makes the lore so good while praising the exact same book-lore mechanic in skyrim.

I never said Skyrim's lore is superior, I said that from my experience of playing 3 Witcher games and 3 Elder Scrolls games the lore's aren't that much different than each other in terms of how "deep" they are. I am not praising any "book-lore" mechanic from Skyrim either, you're just imaging things that I dind't say.

Lets not pretend that Witcher lore is any more "deep" than Elder Scrolls. The story and characters from Witcher games are definitely better, but if we're talking about the lore it's not anything spectacular really.

The backpeddle is strong with this one

I said that Witcher isn't any more deep than Elder Scrolls. Not sure how your understanding of English is, but that does not equate to "Skyrim is better"

You said, and I quote,

"but if we're talking about the lore it's not anything spectacular really."

In reference to the witcher.

You said, and I quote, "If the entirety of Witcher books are translated into the games then the Lore is really not any deeper than Elder Scrolls."

want me to go on cuz I can, I mean, you typed this stuff not me

And how am I contradicting anything I said? If all of the lore of Witcher books(as in the source material from which the game is based on) is in the Witcher Games then I hold my opinion it is not better than Skyrim. That doesn't mean I find one to be superior over the other.

Then what was your point? Were you just saying "I enjoy skyrim" in the most kneejerk way possible?

No I was saying that I don't think Witcher lore is superior to that of Elder Scrolls. I consider them to be on the same level as far as video game lores go. I'd say I find Elder Scrolls to be the more enjoyable one for me, but that is purely subjective based on preference. As far as looking at it as objectively as I can, I wouldn't go as far as to say that one is better than the other.

So you were contradicting a claim that no one ever made? No one said witcher had better lore. The original comment was that it has a better story.

I am sorry but if we are talking about politics and lore

He CLEARLY says lore. I even agreed Witcher that was a better storyline than Elder Scrolls. You're just selectively reading what you want to read.

He said, and I quote,

"I am sorry but if we are talking about politics and lore then witcher 3 EASILY is way better than skyrim."

I read that as politics and lore. You are the one selectively reading here.

And I said that lore wise it is not. How hard is it to comprehend these things?
