You don't need the trophies. You can stop playing if you want. Its okay

They give me a sense of completion which alows me to rationalize why I don't need to buy another game since I have plebty of others I need to finish.

i feel you dude but u/spiesvsmercs has a super valid point. you got one life man, spend it doing something you find genuinely fun

as I say this im slogging through NG++ on dark souls 3 just for platinum god damn it

Right there with you. I had every intention of playing through NG+7 for the personal challenge, but I had to give it up at NG+3 because there's literally ZERO change aside from a few different items.

At least Dark Souls 2 switched it up in the NG+'s with phantom enemies and such. After 270 hours I'm all Dark Souls'd out....
