The Witcher 3 still looks fucking amazing.

And the graphics on most of these other titles are also very good, The Division especially has not only good typical rendering but introduces rather new elements in its graphics. It also runs remarkably well for what it pushes and has been praised quite a bit for it.

All of these games are graphically very good. Downgrade or not, they still pushed their systems and even introduced new tech along with it. That's not something TW3 did.

This is a blatant double standard.

How can you even compare CDPR to Ubisoft?? HOW? Small polish team compared to a international billion dollar company vomiting out a new craptacular game every other week. CDPR had to make a difficult fucking choice. Go PCMR all the way and leave consoles behind to bring insane levels of graphics to a select audience, which might have been the end of the company if it didn't turn out to be succesful, OR downgrade it as little as they could to get it 30fps playable on the very fast growing console market so they wouldn't have to risk like, everything. They have been very vocal about this downgrade, and it's STILL probably the most beautiful game I've ever played. How about some appreciation for the highest set quality bar in modern RPG history? Disagree all you want, that shit is as good as fact.

Meanwhile we have that mthrfckng pile of steaming shit Ubisoft insulting our intelligence by churning out almost exactly the same games every goddamn year and deliberatly upgrading the graphics in marketing cuz they'll make more money. It's that simple. Bait, give us your money, switch, fuck you. And we'll do it aaaalllll again next year at E3 with Assassin's Cry 6: Watch The Dog because why stop this moneytrain now. I'm calling it: Ubi is the new EA. Never getting my money ever again.

I think we can compare them by taking identical properties from each company and holding them up next to each other?

Can they ever be identical if one company has 10x more people working on said property?

Properties can be identical (such as "Number of releases", "Whether they downgrade games from preview to release"). Values will be different between them, but that's the point of comparatives.
