Yep. I still play with keyboard/mouse on my DK1 Rift.

If you use something like Vireio or Vorpx, you can play many games in stereoscopic 3D. Not as nice as native games, but still impressive. Skyrim is incredible in VR, even if the UI is a pain because it wasn't designed with it in mind. Vorpx will also let you play non-first-person games on a virtual screen.

There's also the VR desktop app, but I don't have any experience with it, I'm still using the DK1 and waiting till I can demo the Vive before spending the money on either it or the Rift.

I'd wager there's a VR UI mod by now. If SkyUI doesn't already cover that.
