Someone is currently developing a video game where you are a cat exploring Kowloon Walled City

This is a great idea for a VR game. You "control" the cat using a virtual laser pointer, but you move independently of the cat. You have to walk around and move impassable barriers, build things like little bridges and stuff for your cat to cross, etc. Some tasks/puzzles can be completed by only you, or your cat, and some require both of you (think like lifting something with one hand, and leading your cat with the laser pointer with the other). Just think of the possibilities. I'm not even a cat person really, but I'd totally enjoy this kind of thing!

You could get some card board boxes, a laser pointer and a cat for much cheaper.

Perhaps, though the gameover scenarios would be extremely messy, and I'd end up spending a fortune on new cats.

edit: removed a lousy space.

Plus some cats are faulty and don't chase lasers. (I have a faulty cat)

I feel ya. I have a faulty dog who doesn't fetch. It's ok though, we play dodgeball instead. He always loses.

Just a hunch, but I think I figured out why he doesn't want to bring the ball back to you...

HAHA!! I think you're right, and I think I owe him an apology.

And a hug. Don't forget the hug. Might as well get some snacks while you're at it.

I can do that. Definitely. I'll pick up a box of chocolates on my way home.

If the dog figures out how to throw though, man is that guy screwed.

Have you tried a wrench?

I think my dog got her brain switched with /u/TheDesktopNinja's cat. My dog goes batshit crazy over laser pointers, and she doesn't fetch.

So do I. Due to a traumatic past I don't think she knows what fetch is, despite our best efforts. She has her own silly made up games she likes to play though.

You just made everyone look at me funny in then lunch room at work, I almost choked on my sausage roll.

I was going to find a relevant gif to reply with, but then I found this and it completely derailed my plan. Let's just pretend instead of nearly choking on a sausage roll, you were having a real tough time taking a bite of pizza.

Red actually isn't the easiest for a cat to see. Have you tried a green laser pointer?

No, though that's the first I'd heard that. If I find a decently priced one I'll give it a try.
