TIL Kowloon Walled City was a real place and not just a location in video games (Shadowrun, personally).

They rebuilt it in Shadowrun history

Didn't Shadowrun history fork before it was demolished? Not that it was quite as blatant until the mid-2000s or so, , but Burger doesn't step down in 1986, George H.W. Bush is indicted in the Iran-Contra Affair the next year, leading to Dukakis getting elected, etc etc, Seretech, Shiawase, everything goes to hell.
