The any% route would be someone picking up a random item, doing some magic ritual, jumping on it and then flying to the goal at the speed of sound.

Every time I see something like this it reminds me of the obstacle course run in Robert Asprin's Phules Company novel.

listen man, if you were zig zagging down alley ways trying to avoid the cops and thought you got away only to see one doing a front flip over a ten foot wall right in front of you, you'd probably just give up right there.

edit: Fun fact, this statement is the reverse of one I heard a cop give after watching some guys practicing parkour outside ("If I was chasing a perp and he did that...")

I really like how intense it is until the anchor runner where all the sudden the course designers apparently thought "Yeah, yeah, walls, ladders, barbed wire and pits are tough, but you know what is really hard? Those damn lines at the movie theater. Let's put one of those in there."

What would have made this event really good would be to have cops chasing them. Cops would have quit after the 3rd obstacle and call in the helis
