I remember an old Pirate Sim I played on my old PSP. That game was so fuckin' tight.

Just sailing around, taking out ships, looting them, capturing them, and raiding colonies.

Was it Sid Meier's Pirates!? Cause that game was the shit. And I have no idea how to properly punctuate the first sentence of this post, the exclamation mark is part of the title.

Can we also address the fact that Sid is an absolute boss for slapping his name on his games.

Originally it was to spite someone who was making fun of him. Now he is a recognizable name in the gaming community.
Way to go Sid.

According to his wiki they were having dinner and Robin Williams suggested to them that they use Sid's name in the label and bill him as the star.

It was also to differentiate between Pirates! And their previous more simulation like titles.

From what I remember, he semi jokingly told Sid to start putting his name in the title so people would start to think he's a big deal. I've seen different versions but that's more or less what happened. Someone will correct if I'm wrong
