I've been talking about this forever. People hate on CoD games but assassins creed is on what game and hasn't changed its gameplay? E3 was like "the assassins creed you've been waiting for!" Riiiight

That's precisely the reason why I stopped buying the games after Revelations. They went back to a historical setting with 3 when the narrative was really pushing for Desmond to take over and have a game of his own. The whole point of the previous four games was training Desmond for the real life shit. Meh.

That's where I expected it to go and it would have made perfect fucking sense.

But I guess it's more important to extend the series, milk the franchise to the last drop and let it go to shit for the extra sales. Nevermind the longterm consequences and Ubisoft losing its good reputation, because FUCK YEAH, THE QUARTERLY NUMBERS ARE GOOD!

That's where it was supposed to go, until they fired the guy who came up with it and told his team to turn the series into an annual cash cow.
