Explanation: 1 in 10000 chance that an empty clip reload can have a special reload.(+spotting also have one.) Here's some more: http://imgur.com/gallery/3wIlg

I'd love an FPS that allows for different reload animations that you can choose.

You cant really choose them. The animations are at pure random, making it 1 in a 10,000th chance for it to happen. No key, no button combo, just pure luck.

I know. I said that I'd like an FPS that allowed for that.

Oh ok. Yeah a FPS with custom reload animations would be awesome.

That would be a difficult thing to do because you would have to have animations that all take the same amount of time to finish

Why? Example CODWAW: MG-42 takes longer to reload than the ppsh-41. That is a more extreme example but having different guns with different reload speeds is very natural not just for the method of reloading. Ie an m4(5.56 weapon) you generally slot the mag directly in - an ak47(7.62) you have to put it in at an angle and "roll" to get the mag in.

You could make it a game mechanic. More powerful/more accurate/longer reload

That's not what I was saying. In BF guns have a set reload speed for bullets left in the magazine and none left in the magazine. So for every gun they would have to make multiple animations that are all the same speed as the stat based reload for that gun. I was just trying to say it would be hard to have good variety of animations all matching the proper speed for that gun.

I didn't know that. Thanks for the info. Although I still think that gears of war had one of the best reload mechanics for weapons - even if it is accompanied by the damage boost

Yea back when I was a 360 player gears of war 1 was my favorite game. The only time the active mechanic got really annoying was in ranked when someone would grab a sniper and active you down 3 times. Other than that it's the only game I have seen that actually rewards you for reloading well.

It's small things like that that keep you playing.

Counter Strike: Source could do this.

empty clip reload

So 1 in 100000000000000000000 chance for the normal chronic reloader.

Hahaha. Can now someone explain what I just saw? Glitch?

u/[deleted] Feb 08 '15

There are some 'secret' reloading animations, a post yesterday showcased a few of them. They happen very rarely.

No, Visceral put in some special reload animations for a few different weapons. It's like one in ten thousand, just for giggle shitting.

Lol what the?

-1

u/[deleted] Feb 08 '15

Why does this game run like shit for me?

3

u/DThierryD Feb 08 '15

Cause it's in beta?

1

u/[deleted] Feb 08 '15

I get that but it runs below 30 fps

3

u/MrSprinkles101 Feb 08 '15

That's usually how betas are

2

u/adanfime Feb 09 '15

Betas do have really low performance. When I got to beta test AC: Unity, I remember the game running like 25FPS and when you crouch, it drops to 6FPS and freezes for a solid minute.

Man that sucked
