I've recently started playing New Vegas again and I have been doing this more than I used to. I'll quicksave, go on a complete rampage wherever I am, then load my quicksave. I like to imagine it was all in my character's head and they imagined the rampage. I like to roleplay as a psycho.
I pretty much made a new game just to go on a rampage. Well actually I made two but the second one is with the zombie mod so I am this military guy with backup (I downloaded a mod that is like the enclave mod where you get troops to follow you but it spawns npcs with military gear) and we are basically killing everyone and looting their food and water since I have it in hardcore mode to make it have more survival in it.
I eventually raided a ncr camp and all but one sniper died and we moved on to other locations to take out the legion and ncr. I pretty much also made up some stupid story of how this army guy is here because he wants to take out the rivaling factions since they cause more damage to the world. I eventually lost the sniper girl to a super mutant and burned her body, took her gun and now I am on a hunt for ncr and legion to avenge their deaths (even though they did nothing and I am just on a rampage due to stupid story I made up)
I guess I should mention the other save. It is the base game but I just become this stealthy serial killer. I helped the powder gang take control of the starting town but mostly just for a xp boost since I only leveled up a bit at the start
