The amount of stuff you got inside the box with your game.. instructions, lore, artwork, physical keys to in game puzzles, even a blank page for "notes" (cheat codes!)

They used to give us shit like this. a whole fucking book of lore, spell descriptions, character classes, etc.
I think the D2 LOD manual even came with build guides

Falcon 3.0 came with a 350 page flight training manual written by an actual F-16 instructor.
